Christ, born in a stable,
Give courage to all who are homeless.
Christ, who fled into Egypt,
Give comfort to all refugees.
Christ, who fasted in the desert,
Give relief to all who are hungry.
Christ, who hung in torment on the cross,
Give strength to all who suffer.
Christ, who died to save us,
Give us the assurance of your forgiveness.
Save us today,
And use us in your loving purposes,
For your glory's sake. Amen.
Lord Jesus, we acknowledge you as the Light of the World:
Lord, lead us from darkness to light.
Lord Jesus, we acknowledge you as a light to the nations
Lord, help us to reflect the light of your love.
Lord Jesus, we acknowledge you as the true light from heaven:
Lord, may we always live in the light of your holiness.
Lord Jesus, we acknowledge you as the light that overcomes darkness:
Lord, guide us and shine your light on our daily path.
Lord Jesus, we acknowledge you as the eternal light of our life:
Lord, we are your children of light, aglow and ever praising you, our Son of Righteousness for ever. Amen.
